Item Description

Linarite is a well known lead copper sulfate, and the Bingham area is one of the classic localities for the species. Typically Linarite is found as small to microscopic azure blue crystals, either tabular or elongated, in clusters or as crusts. This piece features beautiful, lustrous, electric royal-blue, crystals of Linarite on a cube of Galena. White crystals of Anglesite are also coating the Galena cube, and minor green Brochantite can be seen. This is a striking and colorful specimen from this well-known locality, and very hard to find on the market today. The label accompanying the piece states that it was collected on January 28 of 1998.
