Item Description

A wonderfully historic and incredibly hard to find specimen of Prehnite from this obscure locality in Germany. Attractive, radiating aggregates of translucent greenish-yellow Prehnite on matrix. The largest Prehnite aggregate measuring 1.7 cm across. The center of the piece is in good shape, while the periphery is contacted. If you collect worldwide Prehnite or hard to find specimens from Germany, don't miss out on this one. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8108) with a wonderful old handwritten label from Hermann Kraft. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
