Item Description

The famous Upper New Street Quarry is one of the most well-known localities for zeolites and Prehnites in New Jersey. This quarry has produced some amazing specimens in the last 100 years. This specimen features globular, soft green colored groups of Prehnite forming "casts" after preexisting Anydrite with minor white crystals of Chabazite. The piece is essentially a thin "shell" of Prehnite and is completely hollow on the back. Great aesthetics and really no damage, save the periphery. Classic material from the New Jersey trap rocks.
