Item Description

One of the coolest black and white mineral specimens I've offered in the auctions in a while. A very attractive and eye-catching association specimen from this famous Pakistani locality. The focal point of the piece is the predominant, 2.6 cm, jet-black, doubly-terminated, prismatic striated Schorl Tourmaline which aesthetically sits atop a matrix covered by bright white, contrasting Microcline crystals. There are some additional smaller Schorl crystals on the piece as well, giving the specimens a black and white "speckled" effect. Overall, the quality is great, with only the slightest bit of roughness to the main Schorl crystals. A cool and worthwhile "hand"-sized display specimen. Valued at $1000 in the inventory.
