Item Description

A gorgeous old-time specimen of the famous Bayldonites from the Penberthy Croft Mine in Cornwall. This is actually the type locality for the species, and specimens are seldom available on the market. Any good Cornish collection needs to have one of these iconic Bayldonites represented. This particular specimen has a rich coverage of dark green micro aggregates of semi-velvety Bayldonite sitting on iron-stained Quartz matrix. Beautiful to view up close. Classic material from the collection of Paul A. Lowe.
