Item Description

A very good specimen, with acicular, almost metallic looking Brochantite crystals bursting from the limonite matrix. This example has gorgeous deep emerald green color and richness of these crystal "sprays" but also because individual crystals can be inspected, and they are not so tightly intergrown that one cannot discern what they're looking at. These specimens are not easy to find from Touissit in my experience, and this is a good representation of the material. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12119). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
