Quartz (GEM quality) with iron oxide inclusions (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A large single prism of GEM quality, colorless Quartz with some smaller accessory crytals near the base is partially included with and / or coated by yellow iron oxide. The main crystal is undamaged and is literally WATER CLEAR inside. The two-toned effect makes it stand out much more than an ordinary single Quartz crystal, and the quality is about as good as it gets for the locality. A wonderful nearly 6-inch long specimen of this classic material from Brazil. Specimen weight is 96.45 grams.
