Item Description

This rare titanium-bearing member of the Vesuvianite group is only found in a few worldwide localities, and the most desirable specimens are those from the type locality in Russia. This specimen features a predominant, good quality, sharp, lustrous, doubly-terminated, euhedral dark blackish-green color prismatic tetragonal crystal with a few accenting crystals free of matrix. The main Wiluite crystal is in excellent condition, and this is one of the better miniature sized pieces of this material that I have offered in a while. Showy and three-dimensional, and the piece is nearly crystallized all the way around with only a tiny spot of incomplete growth on the bak. The piece comes with a label from the Fersman Mineralogical Museum in Moscow!
