Item Description

A beautiful Adamite specimen from the historic Ojuela mine in Mexico. The piece is in great condition overall, and features very eye-catching, lustrous / vitreous, yellow-green Adamite groups measuring up to 1.7 cm on gossan matrix. This mine is well known for its amazingly intense colors of Adamite, and this piece is certainly a great example of this classic material. A beautiful display specimen from one of the most well known localities in Mexico. Valued at $400. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#125). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
