Adularia with Hematite "roses" (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A group of sharp, well-formed, rather lustrous, blocky and partially gemmy white/colorless crystals of Adularia (a variety of K-Feldspar) with the classic "adularescence" or "moonstone" effect which shows a shimmer when rotated in the light. The crystals are associated with very minor Hematite "roses" to create a slight two-tone effect. The largest Adularia crystal measures 3.6 cm long. These are classics from this well-known peak in the Swiss Alps. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9561).
