Item Description

A really attractive and hard to find association specimen from Matona Chimney at Santa Eulalia featuring very sharp, lustrous, gemmy, very pale lilac color, cuboctahedral Fluorites measuring up to 1.7 cm associated with an oddly "melted" / "molten" looking silvery Galena crystal measuring 1.7 cm on host rock matrix. A bit of drusy Quartz and silvery Arsenopyrite crystals can be seen on the reverse side of the specimen. Very attractive up close, and a great piece to add to a Fluorite collection or a suite of Mexican minerals. BETTER IN PERSON - difficult to photograph. Valued at $650. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1259). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
