Item Description

These are truly some of the most distinctive crystals in the world because virtually no other species has this amazing color combination. This eye-catching thumbnail specimen shows classic yellow-green prismatic crystals with the classic reddish-purple color in areas. This reddish-purple color is caused by manganese content. The crystals have great luster and form, with very little damage. The largest individual crystal measures 1.3 cm. Pieces like this are becoming very scarce on the market, and truly should be appreciated for the uniqueness. The Jeffrey Quarry is now completely defunct and these amazing Vesuvianite specimens are no longer being found. A very showy and three dimensional example of this gorgeous classic material.
