Item Description
Here we have a beautiful full sized thumbnail specimen of lovely pink Apatite from this Quartz locality best known for it's beautiful "faden" specimens. Most of the good pink Apatites came out of this area in the late 1990s - early 2000s, and they are seldom seen on the market today. This piece features a group of compressed / tabular GEMMY hexagonal crystals that are slightly enlogated on one axis. The piece is in excellent shape overall and would make a great addition to a thumbnail collection, an Apatite suite or a collection of mineral from Pakistan. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#239). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). Valued at $500.
