Item Description

A beautifully balanced and eye-catching aesthetic display specimen of this world-famous material from the Elmwood Mine. A very sharp, rather lustrous, incredibly well-formed, 4.3 cm, soft golden color GEM quality, doubly-terminated, twinned scalenohedral crystal of Calcite sits beautifully on the underlying matrix. A second twinned Calcite sits at an acute angle to the main twin creating a very aesthetic arrangment. One end of the twin has a tiny nick, but the superior quality and nearly WATER CLEAR transparency of the crystal make up for it. A showy overall specimen that really stands out and sits beautifully without the aid of a base or clay. Valued at $500-$600.
