Description:An attractive small cabinet specimen featuring sharp, prismatic, pink Inesite crystals to 1.0 cm sitting on matrix from the Hale Creek Mine in California. For sharp, euhedral crystals, these Inesites are unmatched crystallographically by the spiky elongated crystals coming from China and South Africa. Showy and good quality, not just for the locality, but for the species. These are the best known Inesites from any locality in North America, and possibly the only ones outside of those from Mad River Rock in Trinity County worth mentioning. The piece comes from the William Duarte Collection with a label Du Art Minerals. Valued at $650.
