Description:A beautiful, gemmy, multicolor Tourmaline group from the famous Santa Rosa Mine. The main crystal is doubly-terminated with a lovely basal termination and a healed ("re-healed"). The color of the larger crystal ranges from a very thin rich orange hue, then into a strong cranberry red color which gives way to a light pink tone and ends with a soft blue color at the other end. The smaller secondary crystal shows more muted pink and blue tones. Overall it's a very aesthetic thumbnail and a showy overall specimen of this classic material from this famous mine. Specimen weight is 11.90 grams. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
