Item Description

A wonderful, rich golden yellow crystal group of rather gemmy and lustrous cubic Fluorite with crystals measuring up to 7 mm on edge. The crystals are so gemmy and they were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10749) with an old hand-written label from Mineralogical Research Company (Eugene and Sharon Cisneros) that mentions the fluorescence under both SW and LW UV light. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
