Item Description

Attention Fluorite collectors! From a new find in early 2017, we acquired a small parcel of these exciting Fluorite specimens from a good friend in Pakistan who tells me that these attractive and interesting pieces are coming from Baluchistan, which is probably best known for it's beautiful fiery "Alpine-type" Brookite specimens. This is certainly not what one would expect from this area, but I have seen a few specimens in the hands of other Pakistani dealers, and they all say they're coming from Baluchistan. This attractive miniature display specimen is features sharp and well-formed "phantom" cubes that range in color from a gorgeous blue color in sunlight (more of a purple color indoor lighting) on the exterior to a white / colorless hue in the center. The outer edges of the crystals have a light color, but it's there and the interior of the piece is nearly colorless, which is an indicator that it's chemically pure Fluorite. The cubes have a beautiful "stepped" appearance that show distinct phantoms with good backlighting. Overall, the piece is in good condition, with only a few imperfections, and really looks better in person. The largest crystal measures 2.2 cm on edge. We will have a few more of these to offer in the coming weeks and months, and you will see colors ranging from purples, to blues to pinks to colorless and even some smoky hues! If you're a Fluorite collector, don't miss out on this eye-catching colorful specimen from an obscure new locality!
