An attractive specimen featuring beautiful, richly colored crystallized skeletal Native Gold on Quartz matrix from the famous specimen producing area in Grass Valley, California. These specimens tend to have a rich "orange" color which is probably from a minor amount of Copper. The piece has an elegant form, and it's not a jumbled mess or just thin bits included in the rock, but actually free-standing above the matrix. Despite it's smaller size, it's still a showy piece and a worthwhile example of this classic Californian material.
