A beautiful and rarely seen example of GEMMY orange-red colored Zircon from the Harts Range in Northern Territory, Australia. The crystal is doubly-terminated, fairly sharp and very lustrous. It's completely nearly all the way around with only a bit of incomplete growth on the back. When the piece is backlit, the color really comes through as this particular hue of Zircon is one of the most enchanting and sought after. It's actually nearly WATER CLEAR in areas, and would make a superb addition to any thumbnail collection or a suite or gem crystals. The piece comes with a label from Australian dealer and collector Dehne McLaughlin who is the man responsible for bringing the famous Azurite "suns" from the Malbunka Copper Mine to market.
