Item Description

An attractive cabinet Fluorite specimen hosting sharp, gem/gemmy, attractive green, octahedral crystals slightly modified by cubes measuring up to 3.7 cm on edge. A beautiful display specimen from this well-known Fluorite specimen producer. The Fluorite crystals are virtually WATER CLEAR in areas when backlit and show a beautiful two-tone white frosted zoning. BETTER IN PERSON as this one was difficult to photograph, but take my word for it, the photos don't tell the entire story. We have this one valued at $3,500 for the size, showiness and completeness of the crystals. Ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection. Along with amassing one of the finest private mineral collections in the world, Steve is a renowned mathematician. His accomplishments include being awarded the Fields Medal in 1966 along with being the awarded the Wolf Prize in mathematics in 2007.
