Item Description

This is the first and only specimen of Arsenopyrite that we've seen from this locality. Many razor-sharp, lustrous, metallic, silvery colored monoclinic crystals of Arsenopyrite measuring up to about 4-5 mm are intergrown to create a showy and eye-catching group on very minor matrix. Excellent condition, and very attractive up close. If you collect sulfides or Canadian minerals, you can't afford to miss out on this incredibly hard to find locality specimen! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#13062). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
