Item Description

A lovely crystal group of jet-black prismatic Schorl Tourmaline from the Erongo Region in Namibia. The crystals have excellent trigonal form with gorgeous prism faces and an almost "wet" luster. Wonderful three-dimensional form, smooth slightly striated faces, and GREAT overall aesthetics. It's mostly complete, with just a few tiny imperfections here and there. Great quality, and a very worthwhile addition to a Tourmaline collection, a suite of Namibian minerals or just well-formed crystals. The largest Schorl measures 1.7 cm long. Priced in the inventory at $1,200. Ex Charlie Key collection. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
