Item Description

A hard to find lilac colored Fluorite specimen from the Munstertal in the Black Forest of Germany. No specific mine was listed on the label, though it could be from the Teufelsgrund Mine. Dozens of sharp, well-formed, lustrous, gemmy, soft lilac colored, modified crystals are are covering the majority of the display side of the underlying Barite matrix. Good quality, the only notable damage is around the periphery were the peice was removed from the pocket wall, and this particular habit and color is very difficult to obtain from this area. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2901). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
