Item Description

The Ojuela Mine is one of the most iconic mineral producing localities in Mexico. This is a good quality specimen of excellent yellow color Mimetite micro crystals in sparkling spherical aggregates with a tiny bit of matrix from the famous Ojuela Mine. We've seen a lot of green Mimetites from the Ojuela Mine with the same habit, often associated with Wulfenite, but the yellow material is older, and to my mind, less common than the green. This piece came out around 40 years ago. Good quality and very attractive in person.
