Splendent to moderate luster, densely intergrown, lead-gray galena cubes form an impresssive and rich large matrix plate from the ancient lead-zinc-silver mines at Madan. The well-placed large cube on the crest is 2.4 cm. The interior is nearly pristine, with only trivial bruising. The Madan ore field is certainly one of the world's great Pb-Zn sulfide species producers and this is a large, rich and excellent example. Hefty lead ore at 6.0 pounds or 2.7 kilos mass.
