Item Description
An adorably sculptural old-time cuprian smithsonite combination from famed Tsumeb. The green smithsonite crusts and botryoids look just like a cone-shaped tent with an open entrance used by American Indians. The piece is strikingly accented with tiny clusters of wine-red cuprite crystals, adding much pizzazz to this cutie. Certainly a very uncommon and fascinating combination form from here. Exceptional and aesthetic material from the Kay Robertson Collection # 838 and acquired in 1958 at the San Bernardino Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
