Item Description

Striking, large, tan, very glassy, translucent to gemmy, densely stepped-growth calcite scalenohedrons form an impressive, large, very sculptural, tree-form specimen from the famous Potosi Mine at Santa Eulalia. This imposing piece has 270-degree viewability with the attachment being mostly out-of-sight. Most calcites from here are rhombs, so this is an exceptional and rare large varietal. Ex Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection.
