Classic hematite-included Calcite V-twin (James Zigras Coll.)

Item Description

Dramatic and aesthetic hematite-included V-twinned calcite from the famous mines at Santa Eulalia. The glassy, translucent, sharply terminated colorless rhombs are richly and beautifully included with brick-red hematite at their bases. The upright flattened rhombs set in the base of the "V" add real pizzazz to this fine two-sided classic from the James Zigras Mexico Collection. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a gentle bruise to the tip of the large rhomb, which is certainly only a modest detraction to this fine older piece from 1960s or 70s finds.
