Item Description

Chalcocite specimens from the mid-1990s finds at this extinct and reclaimed copper mine are a desirable American classic. Striking and beautiful areas of multi-hued iridesecence highlight this sculptural mounded specimen of solid chalcocite. Many of the crystals have bright magenta and peacock-blue iridescence. The crystals reach about 3.5 cm on this highly representative and excellent example. Common 20 years ago, specimens are seldom on market today. $300-400
