Item Description

A very colorful, rich and cute combination from the famous Rowley Mine. The sculptural vug is filled with sprays of gemmy, golden-yellow mimetite needles - unusual! Hard-to-see, but there are scattered gem windowpanes of same color wulfenites with beveled edges, to 6 mm, scattered in the vug. This is a classic and excellent combination example of the species and famous locale. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 6306 and acquired in the early 1970s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
