Lustrous, sharp, stepped-growth chalcocite crystals, to 3 mm, have pretty purple iridescence and are richly clustered on the top and one side of the quartz-rich matrix nicely accented with pods and stringers of sparkly pyrite microcrystals. A faded old cloth label is attached to the bottom. Classic old-time and rich combination material from the historic mines of Cornwall. Valued by the former dealer at $300.
