Item Description

Sprays of highly lustrous, iridescent mahogany hubnerite lathes are embedded on all sides of the quartz matrix on this rich and excellent older specimen from San Juan County, Colorado. Probably from the famous Adams Mine in the Eureka District or a mine in the Animas District. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 2188 and acquired in February, 1962. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
