Intergrown clusters of lustrous, sharp olive-green pyromorphite crystals form an adorable and sculptural multi-sided thumbnail from the famous old Wheatley Mines. The prisms reach 1.0 cm and some are curved. Mining started in 1851 and the mines closed during the Civil War in the 1860s! Limited mining occurred from 1917 to 1920. These are classic and highly desirable American pyromorphites and this is a good one. for the size, its outstanding. valued $500-600
