Unusual Smoky Quartz w phantom (Zerfass Coll.)

Item Description

A really cool looking and most unusual large smoky quartz from Diamantina. The sculptural pair of striking sharply terminated crystals are dramatically enhanced by the clay inclusions that turn into a phantom in the water-clear termination of the large crystal! The richly colored smokies are transparent to translucent. This stunning 360-degree piece is very nearly pristine. Trival edge wear is noted to the termination. Contacting lower on two sides of the large crystal and on one side of the small crystal is noted, where other crystals once lay, but there is no damage, per se. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection # 495.
