Item Description

A dramaticaly scuptural and RARE large pseudomorph from this less well-known Katanga copper mine. Rich green malachite has replaced a dense intergrown cluster of azurite crystals. The Lupoto Mine is known for chrysocolla pseudos after azurite, but NOT malachite. Scattered dustings of chrysocolla are noted on the front and back of this impressive and rare 360-degree piece from the Dr.Barratt Phillips Collection.
