Item Description

A RARE and impressive pseudomorph from this renowned mine. Sparkly pyrite has replaced a striking large vug filled with tabular pseudo-hexagonal pyrrhotite crystals. Scattered calcite rhombs and clusters of tiny sphalerite crystals are a nice accent. The Dr. Barratt Phillips labels list the Casapalca Mine as the locality, but that noted locale does not host pyrrhotite, according to MINDAT. The rich and excellent piece is from the famous Huanzala Mine. Seldom on the market in this size and quality.
