Item Description

A fascinating and amazingly sculptural large multi-sided bi-colored calcite specimen from Elmwood. The gorgeous and desirable gem golden-amber scalenohedrons strikingly rise up from the top and bottom of the glassy, translucent colorless calcite nicely accented with a few purple fluorite sections. The dramatic large crystal is 8.0 cm and is doubly terminated. This imposing and unusual calcite has 360-degree viewability with every turn presenting a definitely different pespective. Complete all-around with only a few subtle bruises, one broken scalenohedron on the "bottom" and an essentially damage-free contacted face. Fine Elmwood calcite from the Raul Sanabria Collection. Valued at $1000-1250.
