Item Description

An aesthetic and sculptural two-sided small cabinet from this well-known California mine. Clusters of pretty pink inesite blades richly and attractively cover both sides of the 3-dimensional matrix. The blades in the impressive large cluster reach 1.5 cm. Inesite from this extinct manganese mine is a desirable California classic. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7872 and acquired from the Hamel's in the mid-1970s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic and excellent Hale Creek inesite.
