A classic, well-placed, 1.7 cm, doubly terminated, gemmy cherry-red rhodochrosite scalenohedron is the striking focal point of this aesthetic and excellent rare combination from this famous Peru mine. Contrasting black oxides cover the undulating matrix. The piece is beautifully accented with smaller rhodos AND scattered etched, rounded, gemmy, colorless fluorite octahedrons, to 5 mm. Fluorite is RARE from here and this is an exceptional combination with very fine sculptural quality from the W.S. Logan Rhodochrosite Collection.
