Item Description

An extremely rich and exceptional two-sided tetrahedrite rib from this anicent mining district, first worked by the Celts for silver around 2000 years ago. Sharp, lustrous, layered charcoal-gray crystals, to 1.3 cm, have textbook form and are festooned on both sides of this impressive piece. Scattered clusters of bright brassy pyrite cubes on the front and pyrite, chalcopyrite and quartz crystals on the back are typical and excellent accessories. From and East Coast collection and undoubtedly old-time material, but no proof. This is outstanding tetrahedrite from Pribram.
