Item Description

An classic and aesthetic pseudomorph from this famous Brazilian locale. Nubby quartz has replaced a sculptural fan-shaped cluster of tapered graduated in size anhydrite blades. The lightweight pseudos are hollow (epimorphs). One broken blade and base reveals the interesting hollow interior of this fascinating and showy two-sided pseudo from the Kay Robertson Collection # 10777 and acquired from the Frazier's at the 1985 Ventura Federation Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
