Item Description

An uncommon and impressive large matrix stibnite specimen from the world's largest antimony deposit. Matrix pieces are uncommon, as the crystals are generally snapped off of the matrix. This very stout, sculptural monolithic cluster of lustrous, metallic parallel-growth crystals prevented easy collecting. Complete all-around. Some periphery wear is noted on the sides and the top was contacted against the vug wall. This remains an imposing, highly representative and uncommon large matrix stibnite from the Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
