Item Description

A sculptural and excellent old-time tourmaline from the famous Cruzeiro Mine. The gemmy and lustrous, well-striated parallel-growth bi-colored specimen has a striking and unusual termination. A really cute bubble-gum pink "smokestack" termination dramatically projects up from the starkly contrasting bladed cleavelandite covered multiple terminations. Beautiful gem to translucent indicolite blue with pink highlights rests above the vivid bubble-gum pink base sheathed in blue. The crystals GLOW, when backlit. Complete all-around and pristine, this is a very fine and exotic bi-colored gemmy tourmaline from the classic 1960s and 70s finds from here. 56 grams mass. Fairly valued at $2000-2250.
