Item Description

Jackstraw clusters of lustrous, translucent, tan, flattened nailhead siderite disks form a showy rich solid mounded specimen from an unknown locale from the historic mines in Saxony. Specimens of this style, richness and quality are very uncommon from any Saxony locale. Undoubtedly old-time material, but no proof. A few small quartz points and calcite rhombs on the sides suggest the piece may be from the famous mines at Neudorf. From an East Coast collection.
