Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY type are extremely rare from this obscure Virginia locality. All sides of this sculptural large specimen are richly embedded with lathes of lustrous and translucent, teal-blue kyanite. Visible crystals reach 4.2 cm long. VERY RARE old-time material, circa 1900 or earlier, from the Paterson Museum, where it was on display. valued $750-1000
