Sharp, striated, battleship-gray tetrahedrites, to 3.0 cm, have brilliant golden-silvery luster. They are surrounded by sprays of quartz points on this impressive and aesthetic large combination plate from the famous Casapalca Mine. The underlying matrix is pyrite, sphalerite and quartz. Specimens of this high quality came out in the early 1970s. 1716 grams or 3.8 pounds mass. Choice material from the Bob Trimingham Collection and valued at $1500 o rmore. this is a museum quality plate and a fine specimen!
