Azurite

A very aesthetic azurite matrix combination piece from famed Tsumeb. Two, sharp, terminated, highly lustrous, navy-blue azurite tabular azurite crystals dramatically rise up from the blocky matrix. They look like knife blades! The stepped-growth faces on the azurites and scattered contrasting green malachite on the matrix and the azurites adds pizzazz and color to this fine piece. Edges on the crystals and the crystals on the back glow with "electric-blue" color under bright light. The two crystals are essentially pristine. The tip of the right blade is gently contacted, but there is very little actual damage. Classic and excellent Tsumeb azurite valued by the former dealer at $1500.
