Item Description

A showy and rare pseudomorph from this famous and historic old locale. Brilliant, metallic, rich silvery-grey colored Acanthite has pseudomorphed intergrown clusters of sharp pseudo-hexagonal Polybasite crystals. The peppering of golden Pyrite or Chalcopyrite microcrystals all over the piece is a nice accent. This is a fine and RARE pseudomorph, and when I think back, it might be the only piece of this specific material that we've had to offer in the auctions. It looks beautiful up close, and if you collect silver minerals, Mexican mineral or rare pseudos, you can't afford to miss out on this one. We had it price in the inventory at $2500 for the quality and rarity, as pieces like this simply do not come along often.
