Item Description

Incredibly vivid emerald-green color on this impressive large mounded cluster of intergrown fluorite cubes from the famous Rogerley Mine. The impressive dominating cube is 3.7 cm on edge and the striking stepped-growth cube next to it is also 3.7 cm on edge. All of the numerous crystals have water-clear faces with satin luster and also preferential frosted/etched faces, which really adds a fascinated variability to this exceptionally richly colored specimen. The cubes GLOW with emerald-green color, when back lit! Complete all-around. The interior appears to be pristine and the noted periphery wear has negligible impact to the overall striking high quality of this piece. Rich purple fluorescence under any bright light, as you would expect. An uncommon color, high quality Rogerley fluorite. Ex Dr. Stephen Moreton Collection and illustrated in the MINDAT locality Photo Gallery with a September, 2018 photograph. Valued at $1500-1200 for rich green color, size and quality.
